Making A Killing Book Site

I just worked up the first draft of the site for my forthcoming book Making A Killing: The Political Economy of Animal Rights. Check it out over at http://www.makingakillingbook.com. Right now, the site contains some generous advance praise from several quarters,In jest, Ryan from vegblog.org sent me this advance praise: “Making a Killing” is a heartwarming tale of “L’il Bobby Torres,” a young man who, with his pet dairy cow Bessie, travels the countryside, visiting farmers and collecting eggs from happy hens to make a tasty dessert. And the recipes in the back are tasty, too!” Of course, this is Ryan’s wry humor. His real blurb is much better, and worth checking out. an excerpt (the first few pages of the book, with more to come), and a brief overview of what the book covers.

At this point, the book is out of my hands. The index is complete, it has been copy edited, corrected, laid out, and sent to the printer. Now, it is just a waiting game. Barring any unforseen delays, the book should be out in Early November, at which point, I suspect I’ll be getting some interesting email from unhappy animal rights activists.
